Byle is produced in the liver and it's carried via the hepatic duct to a small hollow organ called the gallbladder. Without Byle, we would not be able to digest really any of our lipids or indigestible material. The last accessory organ that we'll talk about is the pancreas. It functions as an excreting gland, so it secretes pancreatic juice into the duodenum through the pancreatic duct. But also contains bicarbonate, which helps to neutralize acid from the stomach.
