The Decision Tree Is Not a Decision Tree

The decision tree is a sort of morally neutral algorithm. If Bob really believes that murdering somebody for a million dollars will make him happier and steer the future higher in his preference ordering, then that's what he's going to do. The risk is that you like delude yourself into thinking that you're making a better world when you're just a murderer now. I would hope that when you look at the decision tree in the end, you are basically you have a certainty of hating yourself for the rest of your life because you're a murderer. Wasn't that worth it? Not to me.
