Sally Kohn: If you think it's almost always valuable to know something about the personality of a creative or work of art, do you feel the same way about works of science? She asks how many powerful figures in both science and art turn out to have been anti-Semitic fascists. Kohn: It doesn't make them right and be wrong but it certainly means that I need to listen carefully and figure out why I disagree with this person and what the implications are. But there is a limit and I will point out where I think it is.
