How I Found My Way Out of an Eating Disorder

I can't think of a more unglamorous part of my entire life than what it has taken to try to be thin enough to look glamorous. The whole thing is terrible. I remember doing the Atkins diet and someone saying to me, your skin looks grey. And so your skin looks like the color of like off-bread. Also just constantly accidentally vomiting in your own mouth. Or you're just trying to have a conversation. Like no one talks about any of this. It is the most, the irony that it has been turned into a glamorous thing when it is the most unglorious thing on earth.
