The Importance of Stability in Games
I've been thinking about the concept of strain which is just a word that I'm giving to the feeling of what it's like to be at the limit of your difficulty in the game. It's when you are failing and unable to progress or you might eventually progress if you keep at it but you're always dying on the same razor blade. Just trying to identify what kinds of strain your game has just knowing that is useful, then thinking about what kind of strain are good we're like what do we want the player to experience because that's going to strongly differentiate who the likes the game. There was some people who really struggled to dock with spaceships and that was not meant to be hard
