Lucy and the White Pelican

Lucy could see the outline of Rathlin Island off in the distance. She was thankful for the clear weather that allowed her to see this often elusive landmass. As she stepped closer, dark rocks came into view below with spots of yellow and green moss covering them. A couple of white pelicans sat on one of the rocks, looking out at the ocean. Another bird flew in to join them but had intricate dotted patterns along its wings. Lucy found herself letting out a giggle as the birds flew away.
