Many years ago, probably over a decade plus, i was down in madisonville, tennessee. We met up with allan benton of benton's smoky country mountain hams. And we went out with his wife in his truck to the backwoods of ramp country,. And he went to, it was like valhalla for ramps. I have never seen so many fucking ramps in my life. It was insane. He set up a grill, set up a bunson, like a gas burner. We picked ramps a and we just ate his delicious pork griddled with some pan roasted ramps by the by the river.
