The first real instruction in mindfulness is to pay attention to the body. Just noting whether you're breathing in or out, just notice the sensations in the body arising and passing without maybe swallowing them. So we'll just sit here for a while, just being with breathing, being with body. Let's give some attention to that which has been keeping us alive. And that which has allowed us to have every experience in life, our bodies.
