There's like loads of other theories around for instance electrolytes and so on. It's really interesting if you go To the finish line of marathons a lot of this was done in the aforementioned commerce marathon and the two oceans You will find one in 20 athletes has some cramps some severe some not so bad But the muscles either close to or cramping are no different to those who have no cramp problems at all. That suggests that cramping is caused by say sodium depletion magnesium potassium And that makes sense actually because when we sweat we sweat out far more water than we do salt.
