Acclimatization is the key to success for competition in the heat. Pre-cooling, whether it is ice larry, ice jackets, cold water immersion, there are a lot of things that you can do. Glisseral was for many years one of the things that people were doing to retain some extra water before exercise as an overhydration agent. It's something that athletes are using even if they don't compete in the heat and should become part of your training.
