Rethinking Continuing Professional Development

This chapter critically evaluates the effectiveness of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for educators, sharing personal experiences that highlight skepticism about its impact on teaching. It discusses systemic issues like the disconnect between theory and practice, as well as the lack of tailored strategies and follow-up. The chapter proposes a need for more structured, relevant approaches, such as carousel teaching, to enhance the professional growth of teachers.
