The book which is coming out in January looks at interviews from 61 people that I did. Of those 61 only 19 have DID and most of our contributors are people who identify as having complex PTSD or some other diagnosis yet they're clearly able to recognize where dissociation is a thread in how that diagnosis has affected them or has shown up in the world. She says within the field we deal with two horrible extremes of misinformation and bias on one extreme it's that it doesn't exist it's not a real thing dissociative disorder still people who think that disorder not real.
