Getting Into Flow and Not Judging Your Work

The challenge is way bigger than what I can do in like the next hour. And that goes back to one of the characteristics of flow not judging your efforts. If we're constantly evaluating our results relative to what we intend to accomplish, that makes us less likely to become immersed in whatever it is that we intend to be doing. It increases our level of self-talk and makes us more aware of how long things are taking because that dialogue then accounts for the time on the clock and how much progress we're making relative to it.
