Melatonin is one of the first things that people reach for, but it's more designed just to kind of mark the start of the night. It probably does not feed back to the pineal gland to downshift your own natural production of melatonin. But it does increase the melatonin pool that's available and therefore trigger those receptors more actively. And so you can actually see a little bit of downshifting possibly of some of those receptors.
