The Ergun and the Altalana - The Battle of Televive
A fire fight breaks out between the irgun and the i d f units. Rumors begin circulating all over the country that the ergun was going to launch a military coup against bengr s government. A jewish author, in his book on the altalena incident, wrote that ben gurion ordered the israeli air force to sink the alta lena at sea before it made its way down to televive. But none of them were willing to sink the Altalena. They were all of the opinion that they had not come to israel to kill jews. That's not why they were there, and rking a start.
