The term high functioning atism is not being used as much in the literature these days. People were thinking that if you had a high ihue, that means your high functioning autism. An e ce does not equal high functioning. There are a lot of reasons why people on ta spectrum with high e cues often just do not get the help they need and the support they need early enough to be able to help them deal with what they have to deal with.
