The vast majority of startups fail and are a miserable rollercoaster. The whole startup ride sucks for a given startup, but it's absolutely the truth. What actually sustains momentum in the long term is the reward cycle. And there's no reward cycle when you're failing through a slog, but there is a reward cycle when people are using them loving your product.
