CHAPTER

The Hunter-Police

The idea that this is my child or your child does not exist, deciding what another person should do no matter what is aid is outside the inflatable vocabulary of behaviors. Infants and young children are allowed to explore their environments to the limits of their physical capacities and with minimal interference from adults. If a child picks up a hazardous object, parents generally leave it to explore the dangers on its own, the child is presumed to know what it is doing. It's better to take the risk that somebody will get burned or caught than to quash their will. That's the belief of hunter-polic parents.
