I would be careful with your intonation around, are you done? I feel like there is a difference because when we move into the past tense, we're being more indirect. We need to support the speaker a little bit more. And it's also good to say something first before these phrases. That skill is reinforcing and mirroring back and acknowledging that you've heard what the person said.
