The goal of c b t is for you to be experiencing healthy emotions as responses to triggers most of the time, if that is the most rational response. Now, let just say, let's look at concern, the healthy response to a threat or danger. Well, what are the thoughts you would have if concern presents itself tot still? Something is threatening you in some way? But your thoughts, the concerned person's thoughts,. are flexible and preferential, whatever this threat is. You don't withdraw from the threat.
