The Tories' Electoral Strategy
Rachel Reeves has said that they're going to stick to Tory spending plans. This in some ways is a very familiar electoral playbook because this is how Blair and Brown fought the 1997 election. So there's sort of naked electoral strategy going on there in many ways. They won't say anything about what the Bank of England does. I don't think from an economist's perspective, when economic policy makers perspective, Labour are not really offering anything. It seems whatever happens, it's pretty much impossible that the Tories will win the election that has to happen next year.
