Control Your Breath
If you don't notice your breathing's going all over the place, it doesn't even occur to you to control your breathing. The breath pattern that underpins anxiety is rapid erratic and shallow. So if you start to breathe rhythmically and evenly through the center of your chest, the frustration starts to melt away. It's impossible to sustain frustration and anxiety in the face of rhythmic breathing. To be a responsible employee or responsible leader, what that really means is you are able to respond rather than just need her react.
