When we're deprived of human interactions, our brain literally loses white matter in lab animals. isolation is shown to cause brain shrinkage and it can lead to an increase of Alzheimer's disease in these animals. If you are feeling deprived of touch or connection, this is kind of sad. But a really good strategy I've found is to clasp your hands together and close your eyes. It is a proven psychological method for imitating human touch. And sometimes a girl has to do it. I want to hold someone's hand. It may as well be my own.
