The Cultivation of Goodwill, the Cultivation of Loving Kindness
The poet Rilke captured the richness and the power of this feeling state, mind state. A marvelous living side by side can grow up for them if they succeed in loving the expanse between them. So in our lives we sometimes meet people who can see us whole and before an immense sky. The Dalai Lama expressed his own practice of this in a very simple way: I try to meet whoever I meet as an old friend.
