The Trends in Media Consumption
In 2002, American adults consumed in total about 40, 45 hours of media a week. And then flash forward about 10 years and the consumption doubled. The only way that's possible is what's called media multitasking: televisions on and we're on our phone. 2011 was the first year in the history of Nielsen ratings that American consumers watched less TV than the year before.
