The Path to Annexation Without Economic Catastrophe

There are at least six major Chinese ports within easy flight or missile range of that conflict area. It would be almost certainly involving massive disruptions in maritime trade. I think the pathway to achieving annexation without economic catastrophe is very, very narrow. And so for me, it really kind of depends on the global reaction.
