I think you do have to think more about the fatigue side of things as you become a stronger lifter. If you take someone who can squat three times their body weight and you ask them to do a set of eight on squats to a six RPE, that on paper shouldn't be that brutal. But it's probably because of the absolute load. And this is an effective experience in being stronger and just having what it takes to be a very, very high level lifter.
