Everything kind of starts with fluids, because these folks tend to be very dehydrated. So people usually need a lot of fluid in the first couple of hours. After that time, you want to be careful about using normal salin due to hyper cloremic acidosis. That can kind of confuse the picture as to whether somebody's recovering.
