There's apps that can actually block social media for a period of time while you're working on a task. There's also an app blocker called App Blocker. Some people with ADHD do better with the din of all that stuff in coffee shops or libraries. A nice coping strategy that we use a lot is called body double. That's when you work with someone who's nearby, who will redirect you back to the task at hand.
