How to Season a Soup or Stew

I always start with a conservative baseline to absorb into the bits And then I'll add some more to the sauce or the broth or whatever at the very end to taste. Do you do that when you cook these days? Yes, salt to taste could mean add in salt until you like it Which is very easy to do with like a soup or a stew or something like that super easy to do.
