How to Retrain Your Breath With DBT Training

You can constrict your throat a bit when you breathe out to get that wind pipe-ish sound like that. When I engage in box breathing, I use a mantra. You can come up with your own mantra, mantra, whatever works for you. It has to be something positive, something that makes you feel at peace or at home. After every dissociative episode, I recommend engaging in this breathing in addition to your daily practice.
