In some cases, it's because you're really good at doing something and there aren't many people that can do it better than you. "I've become very good over the years at retouching photos," he says. But paying someone else $30 an hour to do that work is a low value thing for him compared to what he could be doing in his spare time. It took me 33 hours from when I recognized who I wanted to reach out to network with them.
