I started reading these studies about how being on Twitter and Facebook changes your like emotional valence not just when you're online but in your offline life. I know that you work a lot with other people in helping them to tackle their own smartphone addictions. What kind of stories do you hear from people or moments of realization that they have about what it's taking away from them? It took me another solid year even though I was writing and thinking about social media and smartphones all the time to realize that it was affecting me too.
