The Three Different Regions of the Small Intestine
The small intestine is about five or six meters long and it's highly folded so that it can actually fit in the abdomen. There are three distinct regions of the small intestine: The duodenum, the dejoonum and the ileum. You can think of the duodenum as this kind of mixing ground where the chime comes from the stomach, the digestive juices from the pancreas and the bile from the liver.
