Play Date OS - Is There a Lot of Animations?

I try to avoid having grids of buttons and things that look touchable. So the main launcher where you find, you know, all of your games is this like linear list with a crank for scrolling. There are also some fantastic surprise animations created by a company called Chromosphere. I hope people spend 99% of their time on their play date, not changing their Wi-Fi password.
