In his book, Ben Moss talks about the three types of acquisitions. He describes an acquisition of talent or technology, a product acquisition and then acquiring an entire business. But he also says that customer retention indicators are harder to define than other metrics. And this management debt element is when you have a high performer who is dissatisfied with their job but don't want to give it up because they're not getting paid enough.
