If you're a normal sized dude like o you'd carry somebody fat, but your you're not super skinny, you're notsuperlean. And you start training, ah, you probably need to be gaining like one to two pounds a week on average. That's perfectly sustainable. As long as the weight on the bar's going up a proportionately,. You're not going to turn into a giant fat ass. But when your wife starts bitching about your belly a, it's not starting strength's fault. It's your fault, right?
