I like populist things. I want to root for Top Gun and I fully understand all the problems of doing that. Populist is expensive as fuck, but everyone likes it. So why can't it be considered? Because it's mainstream. In weird way, I think I'm celebrating mainstream has become so uncool some ways that I think that it's got to be cool.
