The Volunteer Army

The volunteer army was all officers and no men like they literally didn't have any privates. Nearly all the senior officers of the volunteer army had stayed in service after the czar's abdication. They may have been very good military officers, but if you're going to win a civil war, you need at least a few politicians. The inner circle came from the officers who were involved in the cornelo affair.
