The Importance of Recognizing Bias in Our Operating System
I love that analogy of English as a programming language because it absolutely is. It's the best tool we have for communicating with one another, but it is also not entirely reflective of reality. With that said, there's two groups of people here that you alluded to. One is or two phases, I guess. The first is people have to have a willingness to want to change. But most times people are not affected by their irrationality to such an extent that they actually think of changing it. And so this is why I made the conscious decision to sort of narrow down my audience a little bit to a certain type of person.
