The Difference Between Self Managed and Empowered Teams
There are really two styles of management in the world. Netflix says that we want to have highly aligned teams that are loosely coupled. The traditional way is commanding control Top down. That's command and control. An alternative to that is empowerment or what Netflix calls lead with context, not control. And the idea is the leaders provide the context to the team and then they push decisions down to the teams.
