Kasima's pulse was still racing, fight or flight chemicals coursing through her body. How could he know about Diad? She had never put it on her CV, never publicized her involvement through her already scant social media presence. But then she remembered how he'd been talking about it. Kasima wasn't sure what was scarier: The idea that foreign nations might be using genetic technology for evil, or the fact that Canada had a top-secret research project studying that same technology. That they were trying to make her part of it. If they knew about Diad, what else might they know? Nothing. There was no reason to think they knew anything more than that.
