The Plasticity of Life
The idea that toxoplasma or any other microb inhabiting your body might contribute to your feelings decisions and actions is quite bewildering. Just as a cold virus or a bacterial throat infection can be passed from one person to another so can the microbiota. Sharing food and toilets with other people could provide opportunity for microbial exchange for better or worse whether it might be possible to pick up microbes that encourage entrepreneurship at a business school or a thrill seeking love of motor biking at a racetrack is anyone's guess but the idea of personality traits being passed from person to person is truly mind-expanding.
