The Wall Street Journal reported that half of the revenue generated went to ads appearing on non-YouTube properties. The apparent quality of a lot of those placements was not up to what I think standards for the expectation of a YouTube premium experience were so sound off below the full questionable content. Google has a real branding problem here because they brand true view as their premium product where the user chooses to watch the video or not. But when it comes down to trust, it's very difficult to trust them at this point.
