Is Zone to Work a Good Analogy?
A good arobic base in sprinters is going to allow them to do more productive work. This comes into greater and greater play as distances get longer, or for sports like football. The better your base, the faster you're going to be able to mobilize yourself on every single play. So zone to work might not necessarily help you chase down the ball carrier, but it will ensure that you're in a position to actually compete.
