The Effects of Electrical Stimulation on Muscle Damage

When you do like a muscle when you do muscle biopsies. You know we tend to say well what happens with the muscle and you say we'll get regenerated. Yes so I think in the case of a biopsy I mean I don't know but I guess that it's such a severe insult to the muscle fiber that the whole fiber will die. What's left of it in the body. And this is one of the fantastic things about studying skeletal muscle because we know that the tissue does regenerate. So these immune cells come in, and they basically consume all of the dead muscle fiber material. Eventually you have a very small muscle fiber that will grow back to its pre injury size
