How to Breathe Deeply
Deep breathing is where you breathe in all the way through, starting at the bottom and going through the top. And one of the techniques that I use that's helpful is putting a bolster on your mid-back. So you have kind of an arched back. You really, your lungs fill because if you actually contract yourself, the lungs get smaller. But if you open up the lungs get bigger and you just keep going until you start to feel the tingles. It's counterintuitive that you're holding it on the exhale. Like we always associate holding our breath with like you're about to go underwater.
