The Power of Emotions
I kept repeating purposely having the thought just to watch the anger rise because it was fascinating to me just this connection between thought and emotion. What's going on in our systems? That here there's a thought and just in the moment, it can trigger a very strong emotion. In many cases we are getting angrier upset about things that have not even happened. I know you know this very well is to understand that powerful emotions can sometimes be conveying very important information for us. But can we be mindful enough of our experience, mindful enough of the emotion, of understanding it so that we see it, we take the information, but are not overwhelmed.
