Cancellation culture ebbs and flows for most people, like it comes and goes. It ramps up again when the person is able to do something positive with their life. Cancellations are a way of inflicting reputational damage that you couldn't really do before. They can also be used as a means to control someone who doesn't necessarily want to be connected to you. And all this while making it quite a plausible case that they're progressive and feminist.
