The Importance of Tempo in Endurance Rides

I want to second that big time because tempo is fun. It's fast fun. And it gets to a point where there are definitely athletes as they get fitter. They're like, oh, I wrote kind of more tempo today and I still feel good and you do it again. Yeah, especially once it gets hot out, it's super hard to keep that low. But if you can do four hours at 65% of FTP with no drift, that's a really good sign that your base fitness is where it needs to be.
